Our Story
Cecilia and Jackie opened Rice Pantry in St Peters in 2017 in recognition of their favourite and most widely eaten staple food; Rice. The urban Vietnamese café quickly became an Inner-West favourite, known for its Rice Bowls, Vietnamese Fried Chicken Burgers and Bao.
Born and raised in Sydney, the duo come from first generation Australian born Vietnamese and Chinese backgrounds. Inspired by their heritage and Aussie upbringing, Cecilia and Jackie wanted to pay homage to the unique flavours of Asian cuisine with a modern flare.
Rice Pantry on Smidmore St is the perfect fusion of the two. The team launched the second site in June 2021, to showcase bold, delicious and distinctive flavours of Asian cuisine in a fun, creative and unexpected way.
